nothing pissed me off more than the main character in this book . i understand that a narrator might not always be reliable , but this guy seriously threw me for a doozy . the concept of the housemates is much like any other death game - esque story , except the main character , damien , is nothing short of full of himself . he adds nothing to the narrative except wise - guy dialogue and plot immunity . unfortunately , i couldn't put this book down because i was in too deep . the ending of the story is a predictable twist that spirals into something far stupider . the worst part was that this was the only book on kindle unlimited that i had been recommended from reddit . screw you , bezos !
